Alex Huggan, music photographer & director (Tom Petty, Eddie Vedder, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp, Sting, Mumford & Sons…) started his career in the late 90’s as a promoter & publicist in the then new bar and club scene in swinging London, Alex would then go on to being at the forefront of the industry for the next 20 years working with many brands, artists and musicians including the late superstar Michael Jackson.

Alex moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and started shooting in iconic venues such as The Roxy, Whisky GoGo, Sunset Marquis, Troubadour, Capital Records and The Greek Theatre building personal relationships with bands and artists, sometimes being called ‘the other bandmate’, his instrument being his camera… It wouldn’t take long for Alex to become one of the most sought after working music photographers in Los Angeles.

Alex was invited to shoot the first Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas, and since, Alex has been traveling all around the United States with different bands and artists shooting many gigs and festivals including; Monterey Pop 50 (the revival and replication of one of the first ever music festivals), South by South West, Coachella, Arroyo Secco and Ohana… and Alex was one of the last photographers to capture the late Tom Petty at his final gig in Hollywood September 2017, creating a set of notable images.

Alex has shot album covers, EP covers, tour programs (Alex photographed STING for his 2017 tour) and posters. Most recently, Alex shot the album sleeve for Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry’s latest solo album SWEETZERLAND MANIFESTO & the album cover for country music star Kasey Lansdale’s latest album Leave Her Wild produced by John Carter Cash. Alex has also been featured in countless magazine articles both in-print and online including Rolling Stone Magazine, LA Times, BBC online, Billboard, Mixmag and Melody Maker…

In early 2020 Alex Directed Michael Grant & The Assassin's official music video Red Light Run which has received over 285,000 likes on youtube and formed the first single release for the album Always the Villain which had a worldwide release in summer 2020 through Frontiers Records.

Alex is the official photographer for Sunset Marquis’ summer concert series Live at Sunset and Alex’s fine art limited edition prints are available in the U.S.A. through Morrison Hotel Gallery.
